Requirements for adopting are:
NO BREEDERS. Sorry if you want to profit from ducks, buy them yourself. We dont rescue ducks and spent our time and money so you can profit from us. Ducks go to private homes they will be kept as pets ONLY.
Ponds must be owned by you. We are sorry but we can't release ducks on property that doesn't belong to you. If you share your pond or lake all parties must be contacted. We can not place ducks in apartment complexes, housing developments or similar areas. We get the majority of our injured ducks from these types of places.
Ducks must be kept free from predators. This includes dogs that may be on your property.
Domestic ducks must be provided food and shelter. They can not be left to "fend for themselves" All of the domestic ducks rescued from parks are used to being fed so please be prepared to make sure your can properly care for your new pets. They will find some natural food foraging but must be fed daily. If you have an appropriate area and want maintenance free ducks we will be glad to release wild waterfowl on your pond. Please contact us for details.
We are a non profit rescue group, donations help us cover out cost of rescuing, feeding and providing medical care for the ducks and geese. We would like to ask that you make a donation towards each duck you plan to adopt.
